Port Presence

"Hmm... that’s strange. This seems mostly black and white... hmm. Guess you’ll have to play the game to find out why! Down in Port Presence is where you'll find Pirates and ships. This is a Rich Carlson masterwork with Textures by Deanna Molinaro and Brian Patenaude. The Pirate Ghost is modeled by Doug Wolf. In the background, the sea has periodic vertex waveform deformation, or, in human terms, it looks wavy. That's just Corrinne Yu's way of sayin Hi" - Jake "Strider" Hughes
"The captain of this ship... captain X. just cause his real name is really damn long to type and I'd probably get it wrong... but I can pronouce it. Particles are being added to the stacks and to do some other cool tricks the art team is thinking of." - Jake "Strider" Hughes

Cyanther

"An Iikka Keranen Level. Cyanther is one of six Domains. Very Spooky. Seneca Menard created all the Textures for this level. Note Corrinne Yu's Cool volumetric fog. And the two Monsters are Cave Crawlers by Jay Hosfelt. Skinned by Lee Dotson. In fact, all of the skins that you see were created by Lee... our skin Monkey." - Jake "Strider" Hughes

Cyanther

Grikk’s House of Armor

"One of the Shops in the Bricks. The Bricks is a nick name for South Anachronox. That's Stiletto Anyway following Boots. And those two big burly Dudes are buyin... Stay away from them. Larry Herring created this level and the Textures were made by Niqui Wright. Boots & Stiletto are Jay Hosfelt works. Note the nice shadows and cool coronas around the lights." - Jake "Strider" Hughes

Echula

Echula

"Count Echula standing in front of the entrance to his shop. Rich Carlson was the level designer on this one, using Deanna Molinaro's textures. Don't know if he's supposed to be spooky or funny. But he is." - Jake "Strider" Hughes

Azurood

"Level Designer: Seneca Menard. And his one man show. He does a lot of his own textures. This is one of the Domains... a domain of Evil and Pain. Those 2 beasts are the Magentaur (Seneca Model). It's under the command of a Dark Grace. A Soul Strider looks on... Just waiting for its moment. Lee Dotson... is our Skin Master in just about everything you'll see here. Forgive me, Chris, if I don't point yours all out." - Jake "Strider" Hughes

Evil Domain

Evil Domain

"This is a domain... a domain of evil. So ya know.. things are big & scary." - Jake "Strider" Hughes

Roberg

"Aahhhhhh... Roberg. One of the most popular levels featured at E3. This is the digital World of Matrix Zero. And just because its digital doesn't mean it can't have trees, right!?" - Jake "Strider" Hughes

"This area actually appeared in the game during PAL-18's dream sequence (in an optional side quest.)" - Bill "Apocalypse" Greenlee

This map is actually still in the game, but is inaccessible. Please see Appendix/Maps/Baltown.bsp

Oblivion!

O B L I V I O N
The Lost Secret Level

Oblivion was originally designed as a secret level area for one of Ion Storm's debut computer games, Anachronox. Unfortunately, developing Anachronox took about four years. Oblivion was left on the cutting room floor and forgotten. Fade to black...
